The Philadelphia community is mourning the loss of Elan Kaplan, who passed away far too soon. A respected leader in the landscaping and snow management industry, Elan was known not only for his professional excellence but also for the warmth and kindness he brought to everyone he met.

Elan served as President at CSR Land & Snow in the Greater Philadelphia area, where for more than a decade he provided trusted services in commercial snow removal, ice management, and landscaping across Northern Philadelphia, Bucks, and Montgomery Counties. He also held the role of President at Sabia Landscaping & Tree Service, further cementing his reputation as a dedicated professional in his field.
A graduate of West Chester University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Elan combined his education and entrepreneurial spirit to build businesses that supported and beautified his community. His colleagues and clients admired his reliability, integrity, and the passion he poured into his work.
Beyond his career, Elan was deeply cherished as a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend. His sister, Chelsea Katz, described him as “a light in this world that you couldn’t help but feel the warmth of. He had the biggest heart and passion for life unlike any other. He made a lasting impression on everyone that knew him.”
Elan’s life will be honored at his funeral on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 9:30 AM at Goldsteins Funeral Home, 6410 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA. Burial will follow at Shalom Memorial Cemetery, with a 1 PM shiva luncheon at The Highland Pub & Kitchen in Glenside, PA.
His passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him. Elan’s legacy of love, generosity, and dedication will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
May his memory be a blessing.
